Chicago Gaelic Park, the fifty three acre Irish cultural, heritage and athletic facility, was once a dream and is now a reality. The sprawling complex contains a sports playing field, locker rooms, 3 banquet halls, meeting rooms and a Traditional Irish Pub. Virtually all of the labor used to build and maintain Gaelic Park was donated by Irish tradesmen. The materials were donated or sold at cost by local suppliers.
Today Gaelic Park is home for the local Gaelic Athletic Association. The center is also used to bring Irish entertainment to the area and is available for use by Irish organizations and local community groups. Gaelic Park is now well known for the beautiful weddings and Dinner Dances held there, and a Ladies Auxiliary is also a part of our organization. Step dancing classes are held weekly, and an annual Feis is held yearly at Gaelic Park. The Feis hosts competitive dancing from areas throughout the U.S. and Canada, and is now the largest Feis in North America. A monthly Mass and Irish breakfast is held the second Sunday of each month, October thru May. A weekly radio program is also part of our program each Sunday evening. Our Irish Festival is held each Memorial Day Weekend for four days.
