CGP Queen
Chicago Gaelic Park elects a new Queen and a court every March. The candidate chosen as the Chicago Gaelic Park Queen reigns for one full year. During St. Patrick’s week, the new Queen and runner-up will be given seats of honor high atop the Gaelic Park Parade Float. The Queen and runner-up will also represent Chicago Gaelic Park at various special events during the year. Valuable gifts and prizes will be bestowed upon the newly crowned Queen.
Trip to Ireland
Prizes to the newly crowned queen include a trip to Ireland among many others. The newly elected runner-up will also participate in the activities and receive many prizes. All unmarried women of Irish heritage, aged 18-29 are invited to enter with a registration fee of $10. Our Queen contest is June 7, 2025.

Queen Maura Maloney and Court Annie Trompeter
Maura Maloney: “Hi! I’m Maura! I’m second generation Irish American from Oak Lawn. My grandparents are from Mayo, Sligo and Kerry. I received my Bachelors degree from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I also studied abroad in Connemara, Co. Galway. Currently, I’m pursuing my Masters from Roosevelt University. I grew up going to Irish fest, Gaelic Park’s feis and Ireland on Parade at Gaelic Park! I’m so excited to represent my irish heritage and the community of Gaelic Park this upcoming year! “
Annie Trompeter: “Hi! I’m Annie Trompeter and I am so excited to be on Gaelic Park’s Queen Court! I am a second generation Irish American and am a member of the YGA, Irish Illini, and of course Gaelic Park. I am also a student at The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign studying agricultural consumer economics. I currently have 3 part time jobs and am also a concert and portrait photographer. I’ve been going to Gaelic Park for as long as I remember and am a two-time Irish fest red hair contest winner 💅. I’m so excited to represent my family and Gaelic Park for the upcoming year!”
